Le Progressive Web App sono da qualche mese nella roadmap di Microsoft Edge. Come vi abbiamo anticipato ad agosto, l’arrivo del supporto alle PWA su Windows 10 è in arrivo molto presto.
AGGIORNAMENTO 2 | Microsoft ha confermato l’arrivo del supporto delle PWA con Redstone 4. Tuttavia, come vi avevamo anticipato, quest’ultimo non sarà completo, in un primo momento riguarderà solamente il supporto del Microsoft Store.

AGGIORNAMENTO 1 | Sembrerebbe che il pieno supporto delle PWA non arriverà con Redstone 4, con il quale dovrebbero fare il loro debutto, ma probabilmente si avrà solamente con la release successiva di Windows 10 – attesa in autunno.

Wasn't @MSEdgeDev suppsoed to get PWA support? We're still stuck with this disfunctional taskbar pinning that isn't useful to anyone. If I pin something to the taskbar I want that icon to open, not just the default Edge.

Our next release will focus on PWA technologies (SW etc.) and PWAs-in-Store (which would be chromeless, can be pinned in taskbar, etc.).
We are actively working on figuring out browser-initiated PWA installation, but that likely won't be in the spring release.
